Grant completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Cape Town. Thereafter he enrolled for his LLB through Unisa. During his LLB, Grant bartended and thereafter worked as a regional manager for a now global telecommunications company. He completed his articles of clerkship at a specialist litigation firm and was retained by that firm thereafter.

A few years later, he joined a leading national law firm specializing in litigation and dispute resolution. He was promoted to Director of that firm in 2013 and practised as such until the end of 2020.

Grant is a longstanding member of SARIPA
(the South African Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners Association) and SASLAW (the South African Society for Labour Law) and has received awards from the latter in recognition of his pro bono hours spent working at the SASLAW clinics and on behalf of SASLAW clients. Grant is a passionate openwater swimmer with an insatiable addiction to the sea. He takes pride in his small team that is dynamic, motivated and committed to caring for the concerns and interests of our client



After matriculating in Cape Town Laurie took a year off to travel and work abroad. On her return she attended the University of Cape Town graduating with a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Political Science and Industrial Sociology and thereafter an LLB.

She completed her articles at a leading dispute resolution and litigation firm in Cape Town where she was retained after being admitted as an attorney in early 2020.

Laurie joined Nirenstein Inc in January 2021 as an associate. Her interests lie in civil and commercial litigation and public interest law. When not lawyering, Laurie is fulfilling her passion for helping less advantaged communities in her role as a co-founder of a small NPO based in Cape Town which focuses on women’s access to hygiene and healthcare.
